Biography

Matthew S. Vorell, Ph.D., is a professor in the Judy C. Pearon Department of Communication Studies.   He received his Ph.D. in organizational communication in 2007 from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  His regularly teaches courses related to leadership, organizational communication, professional networking, communication theory, teamwork, and innovation.  His scholarship interests include creativity and innovation, mentoring, workplace stress and coping, workplace identity and culture, genealogy, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.  He also serves as the lead mentor for the St. Cloud State Huskies Advance undergraduate mentorship program.
