The National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in June 2015 named St. Cloud State a Center for Academic Excellence for its Center for Information Assurance Studies, putting the University in the elite company of just 180 other schools in the country including Dartmouth, Rice and the University of Minnesota.
