SCSU Social Studies educator appointed to PELSB by Governor

Rochelle Dyer was appointed by Governor Tim Walz to serve on Minnesota’s Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB). She will serve a two-year term beginning April 24, 2024 representing teachers in a board-approved teacher preparation program.

SCSU Dance coach named finalist for national award

The National Dance Coaches Association has named St. Cloud State University Dance Team’s head coach Brittany Kwallek as a College Coach of the Year finalist. Kwallek has coached for six years, leading the team to five national championships and 11 top-three finishes.

SCSU receives grant award of $205K

St. Cloud State University has been awarded a $205K training grant in partnership with Central McGowan. The grant was recently awarded by from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) under the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership (MJSP) funding.

SCSU hosts National History Day regional competition March 23

St. Cloud State University will host the regional competition for National History Day on Saturday, March 23. In collaboration with the Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS) and area schools, students, teachers and their families will descend upon the SCSU campus to learn more about history, research and pivotal points in history.
