The St. Cloud State University Concert Choir sent 41 singers and faculty members on a 10-day tour of Ireland in May 2016.
Similar to the choir’s most recent international tour to South Africa in 2011, the students acted as ambassadors of the university and assisted in building education abroad ties with Mary Immaculate College in Limerick, Ireland.
Highlights included campus tours and presentations by faculty at Mary Immaculate College on Ireland’s music teaching traditions from primary school to university, three different performances in Limerick and Galway, day trips to the Cliffs of Moher and Blarney Castle, a medieval banquet and exploring many historic sites and cities such as Dublin, Bunratty and Cork.
