Pioneer Press — An index of leading economic indicators in the Twin Cities showed a quarterly decline of nearly 1 percent in the third quarter of 2014, according to data released Friday by the Secretary of State’s office. However, the index did show a 6.1 percent growth over the same period in 2013.
The study was prepared in partnership with St. Cloud State University. The report’s co-author, St. Cloud State professor King Banaian, said this decline represented “a lull for economic activity in Minnesota” during the third quarter.
