St. Cloud Times — Bangladesh native Ahmed Asif Iqbal has lived in some of the biggest, busiest cities in the world. Millions of people live in his hometown, the capital city of Dhaka. He also worked and studied in London.
But Iqbal has found a new home — and a sense of calm — in St. Cloud, where he’s lived for about six years.
He didn’t know anything about Minnesota, but his scholarship at St. Cloud State University inspired him to make the move here in 2009. He’s settled in nicely, even adding “now I like winter more than summer.” He is almost done with his information systems studies and is the co-owner of a new local restaurant, Paneer Flatbread.
