ABC Newspapers — Jim Way ’82 has had one only employer for his entire career: the city of Ramsey.
He started as a patrol officer for the Ramsey Police Department at the age of 25 and his service to the community will end not long after his 55th birthday as Ramsey’s Police Chief, a position he held for 12 years. His last day was Jan. 31.
After the 1978 Anoka High School graduate earned his degree from St. Cloud State and became a police officer, it felt like a natural progression for him to move up the ranks of the Ramsey Police Department.
