St. Cloud Times — Coming to St. Cloud from a community of about a few thousand meant two things for Thy Yang: T.J. Maxx and Starbucks.
It was a step up from Houghton, Michigan’s Wal-Mart. The expanded shopping options aren’t what brought Yang to St. Cloud but it certainly was a bonus.
Yang moved to St. Cloud about seven months ago to become St. Cloud State University’s associate vice president for International Studies. She oversees a program that has 1,100 international students from more than 90 countries and 300 St. Cloud State students who are studying abroad.
