Ten UTVS TV and Husky Productions students earned seven NATAS-Upper Midwest Regional Student Production Awards at an April 12 ceremony in Bloomington.
St. Cloud State was among 11 colleges and universities to earn awards, including University of Minnesota-Twin Cities (3) and Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa (3).
The National Academy of Televisions Arts & Sciences (NATAS) honored these St. Cloud State students:

UTVS is a student-run station that broadcasts on the St. Cloud-area Charter cable system. The UTVS News crew is nearly 25 students.
UTVS’ Husky Productions (HP) division manages broadcasts of Huskies Athletics events, including women’s and men’s Huskies Hockey games. Its crew is more than 20 people. HP broadcasts are sometimes carried by regional and national networks. Derrick Silvestri ’06 is the UTVS advisor and studio manager. Brian Stanley ’93 is executive producer of Husky Productions.
