Jeff Wood ’81 ’87 ’95, director of Web communications at St. Cloud State, was recognized in April for his outstanding leadership promoting the 2014 Central Minnesota Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event.

The American Cancer Society event is hosted annually at St. Cloud State to raise awareness and funds to support breast cancer research, services and programs.

Teams are now forming for the October 17 Making Strides event.

Corie Beckermann ’98 ’02, director of Student Health Services, coordinates St. Cloud State’s sponsorship and management of the walk.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks are the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting nearly 300 communities with a shared determination to finish the fight. Since 1993, more than nine million Making Strides walkers across the United States have raised more than $528 million.
