St. Cloud Times — This summer, the St. Cloud-area youth marching band has a new name, and a new mission: Forget about competition; it’s about fun.
And it’s about building for the future. The band has made a few critical changes to ensure it’s around for another three decades.
“Right now, we’re kind of wrestling for membership,” said Gary Zwack ’79, longtime director for the band. This summer’s band has 40 members, down from 49 last season and previous highs of 70 or so students.
