Pioneer Press – Rae Lundquist of Minneapolis has had good clients and bad clients. Among the worst of the worst: older women ordering traditional wedding gowns for their daughters or their daughters-in-law.
“They want it exactly this way, they want it now, but they aren’t willing to pay what it is worth,” she said. “That’s pretty much why I don’t do standard wedding gowns anymore.”
Those ordering “fantasy” wedding gowns and prom dresses are cut from a very different cloth, said Lundquist, 61, who owns a business called DreamStitcher Custom Costume.
