Music sticks with you in ‘Pump Boys and Dinettes’

St. Cloud Times — Jeffrey Bleam (St. Cloud State theatre professor) had a suggestion ready when Pioneer Place on Fifth Artistic Director Jay Terry asked what show he would like to direct for the venue. It was “Pump Boys and Dinettes,” a show Bleam watched when he was 16.

Adam Hammer (SCSU director of media relations and publications) is a well-known local singer/songwriter, but he’s not used to being on a stage for acting — not since he was in school anyway. He made his acting debut in kindergarten, as “the littlest angel” in a high school production. He plays Jim, the Pump Boys’ frontman.
