Des Moines Register — Erick Zamora hit the ice with no hesitation.
After spending most of his broadcasting career as a news or program director, the 32-year-old Zamora is now the radio voice for the Des Moines Buccaneers hockey team.
This is the first time Zamora has dedicated himself solely to a sports team, but he spent the past couple years freelancing for high school and junior hockey teams in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
“I’ve always liked hockey,” said Zamora, a St. Cloud State University alum. “But when I got to college, that’s where I would say I became a lot more knowledgeable about the sport.”
