Bruce Pearson ’64 is a featured clinician on music education at the Minnesota Music Educators Association’s Mid-Winter Clinic Feb. 11-13 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

He is also presenting a special session for music department friends and alumni on Music Education Around the World Feb. 12 at the Minneapolis Hilton in support of St. Cloud State University’s initiatives to internationalize programming.
Pearson is a world-renowned music educator, author composer and clinician. He has written several method books and has composed many widely-performed compositions for concert band and jazz ensemble. He has led clinics in all 50 states and in several other nations.
He has taught music at the junior high, high school and college level for more than 30 years and has been recognized with the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Director’s Clinical Medal of Honor and as the first Patron for the Maryborough Conference in Queensland, Australia.
Pearson is a long-time supporter of the St. Cloud State music through philanthropic giving to faculty development, alumni relations and student scholarships. He has been awarded the universities Distinguished Service to Music and Distinguished Alumni awards.
