The 62-year-old Leach, a native Minnesotan, has a master’s degree in zoology from the University of South Dakota and did his graduate research on trumpeter swans. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology, with a wildlife emphasis, from St. Cloud State University.
Jim, Congratulations on your recent directorship with the MDNR. I, too, graduated from SCSU in 1975! Do you perhaps remember me? I lived in Hill Hall freshman and sophomore yrs and in Shoemaker my junior year (when not studying in Mexico). I was a Spanish major.
Just thought I’d say hello from snowy, rainy cold Colorado.
Again, good luck in your new position.
