St. Cloud Times — Local group #unitecloud is partnering with student groups to host two events later this month designed to introduce St. Cloud residents to their Somali neighbors.
According to a news release from #unitecloud, a St. Cloud School District Community Problem Solving team is bringing exhibits from the Somali Museum of MN to the St. Cloud Library from 6 to 8 p.m. on March 24.
The next day, the St. Cloud State University Somali Student Organization and Ka Joog will put on a play, Chronicles of the Diaspora, at Ritsche Auditorium at 7 p.m.
According to #unitecloud, the play will address the life of Somalis in America, including topics such as “terrorism, mental health, domestic abuse and community relationships.”
