Mark Vonder Haar ’92 ’08 earned the Teacher Excellence Award from the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association in March at the organization’s annual conference.
Vonder Haar has taught technology education for 23 years at Orono High School. He focuses on videography, graphic communications, architectural drawing and Project Lead the Way classes.
Vonder Haar is one of 29 teachers honored with the 2016 Teacher Excellence Award. The award is one of the highest honors given to technology and engineering teachers in recognition of their contribution to the profession and their students.
