SCSU’s Russell signs 2-year deal with Edmonton

St. Cloud Times — Patrick Russell is headed back to St. Cloud on Friday and plans on attending summer school the next four years at St. Cloud State.

Unfortunately for the Huskies men’s hockey team, he will not be playing any more college hockey.

Russell has signed a two-year, two-way entry level contract with the Edmonton Oilers and will bypass his last two seasons of college eligibility. In 41 games, Russell was second on the team in goals (20), third on the team in points (41) and fifth in plus/minus (plus-24).
