WCCO — The president of St. Cloud State University died in a fatal rollover crash Monday evening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. in Brooklyn Center on eastbound Interstate 694. Authorities confirmed Tuesday morning that 69-year-old Earl H. Potter III was killed.
SCSU Chancellor Steven J. Rosenstone shared the news of Potter’s death early Tuesday with students and employees. He said that Potter died while driving to the Twin Cities for a meeting with the Foundation Board Chair.
