It’s fair to say Heather Miller-Koch is all in when it comes to the former St. Cloud State University track and field standout’s bid to make the U.S. Olympic Team.
Miller-Koch, a 10-time All-American during her career with the Huskies from 2005-10, enters the women’s heptathlon at this week’s U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon with the fourth-highest qualifying score (6,272) in the field.
The seven events of the heptathlon are 100 meter hurdles, high jump, 200 meters, long jump, javelin, shot put and 800 meter run. Competition in the event will be held Saturday and Sunday, the final two days of the trials. The top three finishers will advance to the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in August.
