For the past five years Kim Vlaisavljevich has been preparing for a possible campaign for a seat on the Bloomington City Council, but she points to her childhood as the catalyst for her career as a city official.
Vlaisavljevich, 36, was appointed to the Bloomington City Council last week, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of Cynthia Bemis Abrams last month.
Vlaisavljevich has a B.A. degree in economics from St. Cloud State University and a M.S. degree in finance from Boston University. She is the director of strategy execution and global business process for Entrust Datacard, a Shakopee based company. “I’m known as someone who gets things done,” she told the council.
