St. Cloud Times — The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference seems to boast a handful of powerhouse football teams every year.
You see names such as Minnesota State University, Mankato and Minnesota-Duluth up there all the time, and the competition is always fierce. This year figures to be no exception, even for St. Cloud State, which is picked to finish ninth in the conference coaches poll.
But with much of last year’s team returning, experience will go a long way for the Huskies. St. Cloud State went 6-5 last season with only one of the losses by more than seven points.
