That was Litchfield native Dave Kleis, current mayor of St. Cloud, speaking in the wake of the incident at the St. Cloud mall where a member of a minority race stabbed eight people.
Kleis’ steady hand on the helm of city government has drawn near universal support for him in St. Cloud where he is running unopposed for a third term as mayor.
He graduated from Litchfield High School in 1981 and served four years in the U.S. Air Force before earning a degree at St. Cloud State.
