25 years later, Halloween storm of 1991 stands out

St. Cloud Times — Twenty-five years ago today, the Halloween storm of 1991 was burying Central Minnesota in more than a foot of snow.

St. Cloud got 13.3 inches of snow. It is the 15th biggest storm in the city’s history according to Bob Weisman, St. Cloud State University meteorologist. Some parts of the state saw much more. In Duluth, 36.9 inches fell.
