Savage Pacer — The Savage Police Department will have four new faces starting next week thanks to a series of appointments at last week’s Savage City Council meeting.
At its May 1 meeting, the council approved as part of its consent agenda the appointment of two patrol officers, a crime analyst, and a community service officer (CSO). The two patrol officers will help fill the vacancies created by the retirement of Officer Joe Suel and the resignations of Alexandra Vogel and Nick Dolan.

The council also voted at the May 1 meeting to appoint Nichole Schmidt to the position of crime analyst.

Schmidt has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in forensics from St. Cloud State University. She has four years of experience with the Carver County Sheriff’s Office and her professional certifications include Criminal Justice Reporting, Statewide Supervision Portal, Geographic Information System Portal as well as cell phone mapping and analysis.
