St. Cloud State University’s campus radio station, KVSC 88.1 FM, has earned the Station of the Year award for 2017 from the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations (Ampers).
“This is a tribute to our incredible student staff, community volunteers, listeners and the support we receive from our colleagues on campus,” said Jo McMullen-Boyer, KVSC station manager.
KVSC was cited for its community service, leadership and creativity in receiving the high honor.
This is the second time the station has earned this award with picking up the honor in 2007.
Ampers is an association of 18 independent community radio stations in Minnesota. Each station is locally managed and programmed by and for the local communities they serve. The stations are all licensed to a college, school, university, Native American tribe or directly to the community.
