Central Minnesotans may have to turn to their computers and televisions to see the eclipse Monday if clouds fail to break up in time for the main event about 1 p.m.
Bob Weisman, a meteorologist at St. Cloud State University, said Sunday there is still uncertainty about cloud cover and the chance for showers and thunderstorms Monday.
The bulk of the storms will be to the south, in eastern Nebraska into Iowa, northern Missouri, Illinois and Wisconsin. However, St. Cloud may have more clouds in the area at the time of the eclipse. There’s a chance storms could pass through before the eclipse.
