For the second year in a row, the number of citations issued on St. Cloud State University’s move-in weekend is down.
Once again, St. Cloud Police, St. Cloud State University and city officials worked together in an effort to reduce the number of drinking related incidents on the southside.
There were a total of 75 people cited for various offenses this year, compared to 107 last year and 137 in 2015. SCSU says 23 of the 75 offenders are students.
It was the second consecutive year where move-in day had been pushed up from Saturday to Thursday and police and city officials again went door-to-door to welcome students and remind them of local ordinances.
