Throughout the game, fans can offer silent bids on the jerseys. Winning bidders will get their jerseys at game’s end.
Proceeds beyond the cost of the jerseys will fund breast cancer research and programs.
The auction is the work of the Huskies’ head coach, Bob Motzko ’89. Motzko is one of the Real Men Wear Pink ambassadors — local leaders raising dollars in conjunction with the Making Strides fundraising walk Oct. 14 at St. Cloud State.
Through Oct. 12, Motzko had raised $8,235 toward his $10,000 goal. Proceeds from the jerseys will help. So will his Kicking Cancer’s Ice fundraiser Oct. 11 at Brothers Bar & Grill in downtown St. Cloud.
Last year, the fundraising walk raised $106,000 and Real Men Wear Pink earned $18,500.
The nationally ranked Huskies (1-0) play Alaska Fairbanks Oct. 13, too. Get tickets at SCSUTickets.com.
