“The Broadcast Education Association (BEA) festival and National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention were the highlight of my year at University Television Service (UTVS). The various workshops offered at the BEA were led by professional and educator panels and were really informative. I was a runner up for one of the BEA’s undergraduate broadcast scholarships and was honored at the BEA Founder’s banquet.

“I not only got to represent St. Cloud State and UTVS in front of hundreds of industry leaders, but I also got to network with people who are currently working at CNN, the Associated Press, as well as professors of many institutions. There were people at the convention from all over the world and it felt surreal and inspiring to be surrounded by so many industry professionals.”
