STEVENS POINT CITY TIMES — Dr. Roya Akhavan will present at this year’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration on Jan. 15.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Celebration will be held at SPASH at 7PM that night, as the legacy of King is honored. This event is sponsored through local donations from various individuals and organizations.
The featured speaker is Dr. Roya Akhavan, who currently serves as Professor and Director of Graduate Studies at the Department of Mass Communications at St. Cloud State University. In addition to research and publication in the field of international mass communication, Dr. Akhavan has maintained a research interest in peace studies.
