St. Cloud State’s Lemonade Concert and Art Fair was a success on June 21 as the event kicked off St. Cloud’s Granite City Days.
Hundreds of community members flooded to campus to enjoy more than 240 vendors selling art, crafts, amazing food and of course, lemonade.
Mayor Dave Kleis ’89 presented his Rock On Awards to individuals and groups who’ve served the community in the past year.
One of the Rock On winners was the Hockey Day Minnesota organizing committee, led by Brian Schoenborn ’92 and Mike Petroske ’93.
The evening concluded with an St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra concert on Atwood Mall. Among the performances were “Saturday Night Waltz” and “Hoe-Down” from Aaron Copland’s “Rodeo” and Johan Strauss II’s “Thunder and Lightning Polka.”
The concert concluded with the traditional Lemonade performance of “Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Philip Sousa.
