Highway Safety & Research Center hosts USAID drivers

Patrick Ben-Coffie, Daniel Mensah, and Daniel Azaloo, all of USAID, completed Advanced Driver Training for Diplomatic Chauffeurs this July at the Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center.

The Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center this July hosted three students from Ghana, West Africa.

Patrick Ben-Coffie, Daniel Mensah, and Daniel Azaloo completed Advanced Driver Training for Diplomatic Chauffeurs. Ben-Coffie, Mensah and Azaloo are employed by USAID, which, among many other initiatives, leads international efforts to strengthen democratic governance.

To meet their specific needs, the three participated in many driving skills courses, including:

  • Emergency Vehicle Operator Course
  • Pursuit Intervention Tactics
  • Close proximity driving
  • Evasive driving maneuvers
  • Loose friction driving
  • Off-road, 4-wheel drive operations
  • On the road driving

This is the third year that the center has hosted students from Ghana.
