Nearly 50 St. Cloud State students displaced by the recent apartment building fire need your help.

Your gift will help students find permanent housing and replaced damaged personal items.

The St. Cloud State University Foundation has launched a $2,500 crowdfunding campaign with the hashtags #SCSUAptFire and #unleashCaring.

Donations will go to the affected students. Monies raised beyond the goal will support students affected by future emergencies.

The Sept. 8 fire at Cedar Row apartment building displaced 68 people.

According to Jerry Buslisco, associate dean of students, 47 are St. Cloud State students.

The apartment building remains closed. Cedar Row is about four blocks northwest of campus at 327 7th Ave. S.

Student Life and Development staff members reached out to the 47 students with condolences and offers of support, including an offer of temporary campus housing. Professionals at Counseling and Psychological Services are prepared to assist students, according to Bulisco.
