Leave your legacy in Husky Plaza

Posted on December 19, 2018 by Celestine Stang Posted in Alumni news, Magazine, University news 3 Comments

Alumni, students, parents, employees and friends of St. Cloud State can purchase a brick as a permanent legacy here at Husky Plaza.

      • Purchase a brick

St. Cloud State’s newest gathering space — which features inscribed bricks, a curved wall and a bronze sculpture of a Husky dog — begins construction north of Centennial Hall in July.

The first phase is expected to be complete in late August. A dedication ceremony is planned for Homecoming 2019, which is Sept. 25-29.

In celebration of its 150th anniversary, St. Cloud State is teaming with its Alumni Association and Foundation to offer these Husky Plaza opportunities:

      • A 4-inch by 8-inch brick, with up to three lines of text, for $150
      • An 8-inch by 8-inch brick, with up to five lines of text, for $300

Proceeds will fund development of Husky Plaza, with a portion reserved to support the Strive, Thrive, Succeed scholarships.

Quantities of the 8-inch by 8-inch bricks are limited. Deadline for the 2019 installation is June 1.

Our family purchased our brick! We have three grads from SCSU and 2 of us have worked here for more than 10 yrs. ea. What a great way to commemorate one’s time here!

We plan on heading up to see the brick we bought but wondering if there is a way to see them online? Is there a way to confirm it’s there before we come up? What a fun way to bring people together!
