A top national business magazine has named St. Cloud State among the nation’s 299 best value colleges.
Forbes ranked St. Cloud State 273 among its “America’s Best Value Colleges”. The most recent federal data documents 3,004 four year colleges in the United States.
St. Cloud State is the only Minnesota State system school to make the list in 2019 and one of just four Minnesota institutions to make the list including the University of Minnesota (89), University of Minnesota-Morris (156) and Macalester College (288).
The rankings focus on value, which is what most family and students are looking for in an institution.
This is the fourth annual ranking of the 300 Best Value Colleges compiled by Forbes. To come to the ranking, Forbes methodology compared data on 654 colleges and universities scoring them on quality, net price, net debt, alumni earnings, timely graduation and access for low-income students. Data came from Forbes’ most recent “America’s To Colleges” ranking as well as federal Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) data.
