ST. CLOUD — When Mary Plante set out to take her sensitive skin issues into her own hands, she knew her handmade products would include sugar, spice and everything nice — and none of the junk that irritated her skin in the first place.
Plante, 47, makes all-natural sugar scrubs, body butters, soaps, bath bombs and more out of her St. Cloud home.
“We have a whole separate production area in our house now,” she said.
“I don’t help make anything,” her husband, Joe Andria, clarified with a laugh. “I just help clean it all up!”

“I don’t use any artificial fragrances, artificial colors; no parabens, no sulfates, no alcohol,” she said. “None of that stuff.”
Plante, who attended St. Cloud State University and has a chemistry background, formulated her scrubs at home with the intent of selling them at local craft fairs and maker fairs.
