Two students from the Department of Geography & Planning presented at the Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium Oct. 2-4 at the River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud.
Arika Nyhus, a graduate student in Ecology, is also working on a graduate certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). She competed in the graduate oral presentation competition.
Katie Koetz, a senior Geography major with minors in GIS and Global Studies, placed third in the undergraduate oral presentation competition and received a small scholarship.
The Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium is an annual workshop for students, teachers, and professionals who are interested in refining their skills and learning more about GIS/LIS technologies in Minnesota and beyond.
In addition to Nyhus and Koetz, several St. Cloud State students, faculty, and staff attended the conference.
