Walkers getting a high five
Central Minnesota’s premier breast cancer fundraiser is poised to deliver another gift to American Cancer Society research and programs.
More than 60 teams of walkers and individuals hiked out in pink for three miles through the leafy St. Cloud State campus Oct. 26.

Efforts by Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Central Minnesota walkers — combined with one-off events and the Real Men Wear Pink campaign — seek to raise $95,000.
Since 2009, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Central Minnesota has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for breast cancer research and programs.
At publication time, Making Strides Central Minnesota had raised more than $60,000 toward its goal. Real Men Wear Pink had raised almost $20,000.
Making Strides accepts donations toward its goals through year’s end.
