Tom Eibes ‘94 ‘96 presented to over 100 state and local public defenders from across the state at the Annual Public Defenders’ Conference this month. His topic: “What happens to our clients after they are sentenced and go to prison.”
Highlights of his presentation included general facility information, the intake and case management process, classification, transfers, treatment, incentive release programs, and the revocation process.
Eibes stressed the importance of attorneys, judges and other officers of the court to accurately inform defendants about the correctional process.
An adjunct faculty with the Department of Criminal Justice for 12 years, Eibes has worked as a case manager with the Minnesota Correctional Facility – St. Cloud for 20 years.
