ST. CLOUD — Muslim students will share their stories Saturday at a nonprofit-hosted forum called: “Address Bigotry, Hate and Islamophobia in the Community.”
The event is put on by CAIR-Minnesota (Council on American-Islamic Relations), #UniteCloud, Cornerstones Center and the Muslim Students’ Association of St. Cloud State University, according to a Monday press release.
Just last week Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison put on a listening session on hate crimes at St. Cloud State that featured a former white nationalist and some local leaders.
A few weeks prior, the Minnesota Department of Human Rights postponed a forum on hate crimes in St. Cloud due to logistical and safety concerns. The group Freedom Speaks Coalition protested CAIR’s involvement in that event.
