ST. CLOUD TIMES — This performance of the Contemporary Music Ensemble at St. Cloud State University is like nothing audiences have heard before, quite literally.
Dr. Terry Vermillion, of SCSU, has been working with students on adapting music for this mixed ensemble which dedicates itself to contemporary chamber music. The group includes guitar, bass, piano, percussion and a mash-up of students who want a jazz band-like experience.
Vermillion has been teaching his students self-sufficiency and empowering them to create their own sound and their own music.
