Students, faculty and staff will be able to access HuskyNet Secure and the open Wi-Fi will be available for anyone to use. Campus Wi-Fi parking consists of 26 parking spaces in the Miller Pay Lot near the James W. Miller Learning Resources Center. Parking in the marked Wi-Fi section will be free as long as users remain in their car. Pay Lot parking will still be enforced for cars without a person present.
Information Technology Services worked to add extra access points in Miller Center near the parking lot to make sure the Wi-Fi parking area had strong coverage.
This is just one of many efforts Information Technology Services has done to ensure students have access to technology during COVID-19 social distancing. HuskyNet has also made laptops available to students without computers and helped connect those without internet service with a service provider. They are continuing to research ways to offer more virtual labs as professors prepare their classes for alternative delivery this summer.
