Vossen served in the Army, and graduated from the College Counseling and Student Development program this spring.
He joined the Army in 2006 and was awarded the Combat Infantryman’s Badge and later the Calvary Combat Spurs for his part in Operation Enduring Freedom.
As a student, he served as a graduate assistant with the Non-Traditional Student Center helping to connect non-traditional students to resources to help them find success at St. Cloud State.
Vosen believes his experiences at St. Cloud State have shown him the value of the college experience and advocating for others, especially his fellow veterans.
“Scott is one of many student veterans who have come to St. Cloud State to earn a degree while continuing to give back and support others,” said Zac Mangas, St. Cloud State Veterans Resource Center director. “He is a great role model and we are appreciative for his contributions to the campus community.”
HomeFront Resource Center is a voice, educator and connector for service members, veterans and their families in Central Minnesota to veteran programs and services at the local, state and national level.
