Office manager and student worker
The School of Public Affairs is happy to present its new Student Success Center. Designed to be a one-stop shop for all students in their programs, current and prospective students can easily be connected to the assistance they are seeking.
While COVID-19 restrictions limits the use of the space at the time of its opening, students will eventually be invited to use the space for collaboration, discussion, studying, and organization meetings.
The School of Public Affairs is home to the Departments of Criminal Justice, Economics, Geography & Planning and Political Science. A minor in military science is also housed there.
The Saint Cloud Area (MN) Branch of the American Association of University Women is developing an educational and informative initiative called, Savvy Teens – Seminars for Career Success. All high school girls in Central Minnesota will be invited to attend six seminars which cover topics like career assessment, finance, education, training, technology, and skills needed to plan their futures. The approach will be pragmatic, interactive, and those that attend will be given a password protected
access to a tab on the branch website. Links, samples of resumes, tips for online applications, etc. will be available for their use when they need it during their high school years. We are interested in contacting relevant departments at SCSU during our research and development.
