Election Day 2020: A college student’s guide

Vote. Your choice matters.

“Act with Personal Integrity and Civic Responsibility” is one of the six dimensions of the Our Husky Compact at St. Cloud State University. This fall students have the opportunity to demonstrate that dimension and exercise their Constitutional right by voting in the 2020 Presidential election.

In 2016, 48 percent of college students voted in the election, up three percentage points from 2012, according to a Tufts University’s Tisch College report. St. Cloud State administration, faculty, and staff are working hard to inform students on the logistics of voting, making the process clear and the act of voting obtainable.

Here are some brief highlights and helpful links for the college student voter:

Minnesota residents can register to vote online, on paper, or in person on Election Day.
