St. Cloud State University has been identified as one of the best online colleges or universities in the country for moms by College Values Online.
Among the top 25 institutions in the nation, St. Cloud State is ranked No. 22 on the list that identifies the best online colleges or universities for working adults who also happen to be single moms.
College Values Online’s mission is to provide individuals assistance in selecting the best college by offering rankings of schools and various degree programs, as well as providing information on numerous career options from a value perspective.
Instead of using its usual methodology, College Value Online chose the pool of colleges and universities based on the extent of efforts to support enrolled single parents. It then filtered the institutions by cost and ranked each institution based on the number of online degree programs offered at the undergraduate level.
College Values Online listed St. Cloud State for providing single moms with “plenty of parent resources through its Student Parent Support Center.” It added that students enrolled in the program are entitled to a long list of services such as parenting workshops, a laptop loan program, academic resources, and even complimentary diapers. St. Cloud State also has the Student Parent Support Center, the Lindgren Early Learning Center, and many other resources for parents and families on campus.
As noted by College Values Online, single moms also have access to some of the best degrees for stay-at-home moms, such as Online Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication, Online Bachelor of Arts in Geography, Online Associate of Science and Online Associate of Arts.
This ranking directly aligns with St. Cloud State’s It’s Time initiative and the continued commitment to offer flexible learning styles to all students and offering individualized student support in recognition with various pathways students are taking to higher education.
