SCSU hosts Be the Broadcaster event for prospective students


St. Cloud State University hosted prospective students interested in a career in television or radio broadcasting on campus Sept. 28 for the annual Be the Broadcaster event.

Be the Broadcaster offered students and their families the opportunity to visit campus, learn more about SCSU’s award-winning broadcasting program and tour the state-of-the-art facilities on campus.

The day began with attendees touring the top-notch radio and television facilities on campus, followed by hearing remarks and experiences of SCSU alumni Katie Storm ’18, Nik Speliopoulos ’21, Jessie Wade ’18 and Joshua Wheeler ’22 who are all current professionals in the field. To conclude the day, students engaged in experiences with radio and television equipment with hands-on activities.
