
St. Cloud State University employees Erin McClure ’07 and Crystal VanHeuveln have been selected as two of the five recipients of the inaugural Staff Member of the Year award from Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.
McClure and VanHeuveln, who have each worked at St. Cloud State for 18 years, were selected out of over 200 nominations from Minnesota State’s 33 colleges and universities.
The awards acknowledge and celebrate the extraordinary and vital contributions of non-faculty staff at Minnesota State colleges, universities and in the system office.
McClure, room assignments coordinator in the Department of Residential Life, was honored for her extraordinary commitment to students and staff. She has displayed leadership through major operational transitions and has made a lasting impact on campus operations and community engagement.
Crystal VanHeuveln is the administrative director for the College of Education and Learning Design and the College of Health and Wellness Professions. She was awarded for exceptional leadership and dedication that ensured stability and forward progress for two colleges at the University during major institutional change efforts, positively shaping both operations and organizational culture.
Awards will be presented at the Frontline Conference in St. Paul on May 20.
